CVS stores have self scanners that are very helpful in making the most of your savings at CVS.  Be sure to check to see if your CVS has a scanning machine. It should be somewhere near the front of the store. It is useful for several purposes.

My favorite is that it prints CVS coupons. Each time you go into the store stop by the scanner and scan your card. Coupons will print out. These are considered "CVS Coupons" not manufacturer coupons even if they are for a product sold nationwide. The great thing about that is CVS allows the use of one CVS coupon and one Manufacturer coupon on the same product. This really increases your savings potential.

I noticed the new scanner when I went to CVS yesterday. I think it's great that they have incorporated both features into one unit. I also noticed that my CVS has little magnifying glasses hooked to the shelfs all around the store. For people who need a little help reading the fine print on products. While I don't need this, I thought it was very thoughtful of CVS to install these. I'm not sure if they've been there the whole time or not, I just noticed them yesterday!!

Neat about the magnifying glasses--I'll have to look. I do have trouble with some of that fine print. The scanners are great--I'm glad we finally got one.

I always check the scanners first and am sad when they are broken. Haven't seen the magnifying glasses. I'll pay more attention next time I go.
