CVS ECBs and Coupons are Card Specific!

I never knew this until today. Someone gave me a "$10 off $50" CVS coupon because she wouldn't be using it and it would expire today.  I tried to use the coupon at a CVS today with my Extra Care Card, but it didn't work. The cashier told me that the matching card must be used for the coupon to work.  I was disappointed because I thought I could get some extra savings. I guess it wasn't meant for me.

I found that out when i gave someone one of my coupons.

Yes, even the email coupons are card specific now. On the ones that print from the scanner or the register there is a name and the last four digits of the card number...this is true for all extra bucks and other coupons that print there, too.

That would have been super disappointing to find out at the check out. I am sorry.

Wow, that is good to know. Sometimes I get coupons and I know I can't use them and was thinking of giving them to my MIL. Good to know - thanks a lot.
